-Duke Energy Field Services

"From top to bottom, Flow-Cal, Inc. takes a personal interest in creating solutions for our company"
-Xcel Energy

"We believe Flow-Cal, Inc.'s industry knowledge and market strategy are fundamental in providing us with a system that can keep pace with our high operational standards and growing business needs."
-Alliance Pipeline, LTD.

"The Flow-Cal Enterprise System provides Enbridge the ability to accurately and timely account for the volumes of gas entering and exiting the pipeline systems. Reconciliation of physical volumes to accounting for current and previous month's receipt, delivery, company use fuel, and unaccounted for volumes (UAF), is accomplished via the pipeline balance modules for the various assets, and the Prior Period Adjustment Summary. Additionally, all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance requirements are met as a result of the inherent data integrity audit trails resident in the Enterprise system."
-Gary Anderson
Manager, Gas Measurement
Enbridge (U.S.), Inc.

"Prove-It! was the obvious choice for our portable Brooks small volume provers. We believe its archiving, data tracking, and printed documentation capabilities are currently the best available. It has proven to be user friendly and, with experience, our technicians will be able to speed their process considerably while providing the proper audit trail."
-George Lewis
Measurement Manager
NuStar Energy

"Our primary concern at Conoco is accuracy. To ensure accurate data, it is equally important to select the correct software as well as the right equipment in the field. Flow-Cal software has been instrumental in how we manage the flow of measurement information from field operations to users."
-Kyle Keffer
Coordinator of Gas Measurement Accounting
ConocoPhillips, Inc.

"The Flow-Cal Enterprise package has allowed the various BP Operation Centers to streamline the handling of our measurement data and editing procedures. It is one of the most important tools allowing BP to meet the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance standards. The customer service is as responsive as it is personable and has created a real team spirit among our measurement folks and Flow-Cal's support staff."
-David Bromley
Gas Measurement Coordinator
North American Gas Strategic Performance Unit
BP America, Inc.

"Flow-Cal's software design in conjunction with their data model makes for a reliable application that is readily maintained and allows open access for data mining. Flow-Cal is at the top of my vendor list for superior customer support. Their user support and informative staff makes them a pleasure to work with."
-Kelley Barnett
Applications Project Director
EOG Resources, Inc.

"The Flow-Cal Enterprise System has tremendously enhanced and streamlined our measurement operations. We are now able to manage and validate our volumes in a very efficient manner. The savings in both manpower and mounds of paper is just the tip of the iceberg. The real benefit is the confidence we have in our volumes, our audit trail and the ability to research any problems that arise."

API Chapter 11.1 Volume Correction Factors

The API has joined forces with Flow-Cal Inc. to develop, market, and support the Chapter 11.1 code (Temperature and Pressure Volume Correction Factors for Generalized Crude Oils, Refined Products, Special Applications, and Lubricating Oils). This information is available in equations relating volume to pressure which contains physical data that has direct application to volumetric measurement of liquid hydrocarbons.

Physical Properties Data

The subroutines for all the volumes of Chapter 11.1 are now available in electronic form and distributed in CD-ROM. This document contains the source code in C computer language to generate the various Volume Correction Factor tables. The source code may have to be modified for some computer systems to conform to the file naming convention of the computer system being used.

Temperature and Pressure Volume,
Correction Factors for Generalized Crude Oils,
Refined Products, and Lubricating Oils

This Standard provides the algorithm and implementation procedure for the correction of temperature and pressure effects on density and volume of liquid hydrocarbons, which fall within the categories of crude oil, refined products, lubricating oils, and special applications.

Utility Data

A utility program is included on the CD to allow users to calculate corrections for temperature and pressure effects and to print pages of correction factors for a user-defined range of temperature, pressure, and density in both US Customary and Metric units of measure. The utility is used within a supported web browser and uses the Java language. Internet access is not required.

C-Code Source Language

The Volume Correction Factor procedures are contained in the C Code subroutines. These subroutines should compile and run on any standard implementation of C on either a micro or mainframe computer. Note: An experienced C programmer will be needed to implement the C-Code subroutines. API does not directly provide technical support for the C-Code; however a support program is available from Flow-Cal, Inc.

Excel Add In Program for Microsoft Excel

The Excel Add In function is a PC based spreadsheet for Microsoft Excel used to perform net corrected volume calculations for virtually all petroleum custody transfer and inventory control procedures. Users will be able to print customized VCF tables for API Gravity, density, and temperature within which you normally buy and sell crude and liquid petroleum products including lubricating oils.
